Different ways of doing the 21 form
I've been teaching the 21 form and focusing on different aspects of it each time. One way that was interesting was by doing the feet part only and feeling how the movement of absorb/project would manifest the hand movement. It helped with both the grounding and the memory. Also did it the other way of just doing the hand movements and leaving the feet in a wuji stance, this helps to realise the applications whilst doing fixed step pushing.
Other ways are to do it very,very slowly, which is good for noticing your balance or very fast trying to feel the fa-jing aspects. FWIW Steve |
